Dulce

Dulce is a truly exceptional, deep-bodied little doe who effortlessly carries on the legacy of her dam, Peaches. Dulce is a standout member of one of the hardiest and most resilient lines on our farm. While she can be a little shy, she is a pleasure to have in the barn and took to her job on the milking stand with ease.

As a first freshener, Dulce showed a highly promising udder and topped out her early production at just over 4 pounds. Her udder came in beautifully for her second freshening, closely mirroring her dam’s lovely structure, soft texture, and strong attachments. She earned her milking star on a one-day test with a 7-pound milk weight, and she is currently continuing to build on that success on her 305-day test. On the stand, she is efficient to milk, boasting good open orifices and a quick milk-out. While her overall udder quality is wonderful, our primary breeding goal for her future kids is to continue building on her teat size and conformation.

Beyond her excellent milk production, Dulce is the definition of a low-maintenance, easy keeper. She holds her weight beautifully and is so naturally hardy that she has rarely, if ever, required deworming or extra supplementation. Her health is evident year-round; even in the dead of winter, her coat stays slick, shiny, and blooming. Furthermore, she stands on wide, strong hooves that require very minimal trimming. Dulce's consistent production, stellar genetics, and thriftiness make her a cornerstone of our herd.
